What advantages does private tutoring have over small groups?

Many students are embarrassed over what they consider to be their weaknesses.  In a classroom or small group, they may be unlikely to ask questions for fear of ridicule.  In addition, with the instructor's attention on only one student at a time, they are able to receive immediate feedback on their answers.  They are also able to ask questions at the moment they occur.

Will I need to sign a contract?

No, you only pay for the hours that are scheduled.  You may stop at any time.

How many times a week will the student need tutoring?

This is entirely up to you.  Most students have me come two times a week.  Some have me come once a week for 1 1/2 hours.  Others want more time.  During final exams, they may want extended tutoring.

How much do you charge?

My hourly rate is $50.  (Travel time is charged for students outside a 10 mile radius).

How do I pay you.

Payment may be made by check or in cash.  Payment is made at the time of tutoring.

What ages do you tutor?

I tutor from 4th grade through Adult.
